The most common Nectria species along our coast. The shape of the raised 'tabulae' on the upper surface is useful in distinguishing this species. They have "a convex upper surface and are separated by gaps in the central body region, and gradually decrease in size towards the ends of the arms" (from Reef Life Survey website)
