Southward range extension of a rarely recorded nocturnal species.
User's notes
It was about 15 cm long and thin. It had two yellow stripes down the side of its head getting closer together towards the back of its head but not touching. It was dark grey almost black and its scales had a rainbow sheen in the sunlight. Underneath it was tan and looked stripey as each scale across its belly was darker on the edges.
Hi Jackie, I was just going out the back door of a friends rustic cabin at night, and i thought I saw something fall by the door. At first I thought it was a shoe lace but it still made me jump being snake shape. It was quite dark. On closer inspection we saw it was a snake. We caught it in a jar to take away from the cabin next morning, It was very lively.
Yeah, the little snake symbol is not quite in the right spot.. I dont know how to move it. It should be downsteam, beside the Wadbilliga River, about half way between Yowrie and Belowra. About 7 km downstream from Wadbilliga farm.
