Who's poo?? About 8cm long, 2cm diameter. This is not the first time observed. White ends indicate reptile/bird. I had to enter a category 1 field and chose reptile, but this is an unfounded guess.
The coiled contents are interesting. I haven't seen faeces like this before. It looks more like bird faeces rather than reptile, as the white urates appear to be smeared from one end to the other rather than deposited as a mass at one end.
Not worms. The squiggles were poop. No outer membranes or heads or tails visible. It remains a mystery. I submitted an Aust Museum species ID query at the time but have had no response. Closest I can find is pigeon/pheasant which sometimes has this structure, but this is much larger than you'd expect from a pigeon. Maybe it had just got off a prolonged stint on a nest??
